This is a great place for people who want to learn more about Lanesboro and its history. As someone who had no idea about the region and it's history, I learned a lot. I agree with some of the other reviewers said, it is a hidden gem here in Lanesboro. What I loved about this museum is how they used their collections from the community to tell the story and history of the area. The guy at the desk was very knowledgeable about Lanesboro and extremely friendly and even told me some things that I didn't know. I think this is a great stop if you love history and want to know more about the community and the area around it!

Excellent little museum with much information about Buffalo Bill Cody. Many rare and interesting antiques and documents. Loved the human hair weavings and autographed baseball! Great, fun little stop! Even an old phone booth out front.

it's an impressive place to visit and appreciate old times of this small town. well-organized and curated collections. attached is one of my favorite, a seemly lucrative ad from 100+ year ago (1897)
